If you have a Work From Anywhere job, are a digital nomad, a weekend street explorer or are a retired urban hobo and roaming various coffee shops, libraries, pocket parks to public spaces with laptop all day, here are some backpack organizing tips for your daily adventures...
Get some Ziploc quart slider bags. Much better to deal with bags than hunting through dozens of things.
Organize everything by type in a different baggy, whatever works for you, such as...
-- Multi-function retractable USB cables (this or this), adapters and power splitter.
-- USB devices/storage sticks, SD cards, etc.
-- Meds/pills
-- Napkins/kleenex, wet wipes, lipbalm, bandaid kit, etc
-- Various batteries, USB power bank
A small light backpack friendly umbrella.
A backpack friendly portable monitor can be useful for heavy productivity. A reader has suggested using a tablet as second monitor with an app like Duet Display or something similar.
Hot/cold auto seal travel mug is better to deal with than togo coffee cup.
As a street drifter, I prefer bluetooth neckband earbuds as they are much easier to deal with on the street/transit, not as easy to lose as tiny wireless earbuds (I've lost within weeks) and much longer battery life.
I also have a 'personal area salsa bar' in my backpack to perk up bland eats - rojo/verde Mexi hot sauces and a Thai hot sauce (smallest bottles you can find or even better to repackage). And I have a baggy of favorite coffee beans for when running across subpar coffee - pour coffee into the auto seal travel mug above with beans and it will trap the beans in.
